Panda Chess Academy Membership Benefits- Membership includes entry to all events listed below
- Panda Chess Academy Coaches will offer feedback for games played (must be notated) and offer suggestions for player improvement. Some of these notes may appear online.
- Become a member of Houston's premier full-time Scholastic Chess Club.
- Space is limited. Members will have their spot held for following semesters when they choose to renew. Once all spots are filled, applications will be closed until space becomes available.
- Support the Panda Chess Academy and Scholastic Chess in Houston

Membership Prices for the Spring 2010 Semester (February through
May 2010): 14 Tournaments).
$130 for family membership (includes all entry fees for all siblings):
Registration and payment is due upon the first visit.
For first time visitors who wish to try a Panda Chess Academy tournament, entry fee is $15 per child. If you choose to purchase a membership within one week of your first visit, $15 ($15 for each extra sibling that plays) will be credited towards the semester membership cost.
For non-members attending a rated tournament, entry fee is $15 if space is available. USCF membership is required. Please pre-register through email and wait for confirmation if you are not a member to make sure we have space available.
Tournament information:
Round 1 begins exactly at 6:25pm. Members that confirm their attendance through email will be paired automatically. Most members arrive right around 6:25pm. Please note that the office gate locks at 6:00pm and parents must use the gate code #003 to enter.
3 RoundsTime Control: G/30 or 25 minutes plus 5 second delay
Trophies will be given for first place.
Notation is required for anyone 7 years or older. Exceptions will be considered if requested in advance by parents.

Special awards will be given at the end of the semester for most points won, most improved player, and most active player.
If an event is canceled due to weather or any other unforeseen event, a make-up session will be available or a pro-rated credit or refund will be given for the missed day.
Membership includes entry to 14 USCF rated tournaments. Please note the dates where there are no
tournaments.
Please note that when our membership maximum is reached, new applicants may be put on a waiting list. Renewals will always be available for current members.
